MABEL

14 year old Border Collie mix
Mabel, a very sweet Border Collie mix, was brought to Animal Friends after she was found wandering the streets alone and homeless.
Even though she has had some tough times, Mabel is very friendly and enjoys being around people. She likes to be petted, she sits nicely for brushing or bathing and she even enjoys a good belly rub every now and then.
Don’t let her age fool you! Mabel loves to take walks, play with squeak toys or go for car rides. She walks very nicely on leash and will sit quietly in the car as she watches the world go by. And if that weren’t enough, Mabel gets along well with other dogs too.

Mabel is currently in a foster home. Her foster mom says that Mabel is very well behaved, is housebroken and is a pleasure to share a home with.
Even though Mabel is no longer homeless and loves being in her foster home, she’s still looking for a home to call her very own. Won’t you be the one to give Mabel the forever home she so deserves?

If you are interested in meeting her, please call  Animal Friends at 412.847.7002 ext. 1 so that an Adoption Counselor can contact the foster family to arrange for you and Mabel to meet.

DRAGONFLY

3 year old tortie point and cream Siamese
I used to have a home, but one day, my owner moved and left me behind! The staff here at Animal Friends told me not to worry; these things happen sometimes and that a new owner will come find me.

I am a bit unsure of myself so it takes me a bit of time to warm up to people. I am also a little unsteady on my feet and I have a bit of a headtilt., and I can’t get enough of chasing those laser lights! but I’m always willing to spend some quiet time sitting on your lap. I like to snuggle sometimes, but everything in moderation — I’ll let you know when I’ve had enough. I like other cats, so if you have other cats at home, it won’t be a problem for me!

So what do you say? I could be the cat for you, please stop by Animal Friends and ask to meet me!

FOXY

9 year old Pomeranian mix
Hello!!! I’m Foxy!! Want to play?! I love to play – let’s chase a ball and run around together!

I’m Foxy and I’m one beautiful lady. I love people and to tell the truth, I’m not so sure that I’m not one of them. I know I’m better than all these other dogs I see running around…I’d rather hang out with you!

I’m very affectionate with people I know, and if I’m properly introduced I can do well with strangers too. I can be a little territorial, so I’m not a good match for young kids. I’m much happier with adults and playing with toys, or just being with you while you putter around the house. I could stand to be crate-trained as I still have a little trouble remembering where to go the bathroom…but I just need a little help!

Do you have room for a fuzzy little orange fireball at your house? Then come visit me, Foxy at Animal Friends!

DATA

10 year old domestic shorthair
Data is a very sweet and handsome cat who is looking for a loving owner and a new forever home to call his own. In his former home, the person that he trusted neglected him, but Data has put his past behind him and is looking eagerly to the future.

Data is very shy; in fact, the shelter environment is a little overwhelming for him. He has shown himself to be an attentive and mellow cat. He’s very talkative and hopes to find a home with a very patient and loving owner who will help him come out of his shell. We think that he would do well in a home with another cat as a furry companion.

If you think that you could provide the loving home that Data has been waiting for, please visit Animal Friends and ask to speak to an Adoptions Counselor. He can’t wait to meet you!

COACH

2 year old pitbull mix
Despite her name, Coach isn’t tough at all. In fact, this sweet two year old pit bull is a little shy at first. But she’s very friendly and warms up quickly. Coach came in as part of our New Year’s Eve Rescue, so she’s a bit nervous and still learning that good things can happen to a sweet girl like her. Can you show her how nice people are by giving her a forever home? Stop by Animal Friends today to meet her.

ADELAIDE

6 month old domestic shorthair
Adelaide is a black domestic shorthair who was brought to Animal Friends as a stray with three other cats. Shy but curious, Adelaide is coming around to enjoy human affection. This all-black girl, except for a few stray white hairs, is playful, preferring to chase string and her jingle ball.

Adelaide is litter-trained and likes other cats, especially her condo-mate, Melbourne. Her straight, black tail and green and gold eyes are her most distinctive features.

Adelaide is spayed, up-to-date on her shots, and micro-chipped. If you’re looking for an independent, yet lovely companion, come meet Adelaide today at Animal Friends.

CASSIDY

7 year old Collie/German Shepherd mix
Hi there! My name’s Cassidy, and I’ve had a bit of a rough time so far. Animal Friends doesn’t know the particulars of my past, but my ears are a little torn up, which might mean that I’ve been in scuffles with other dogs or hurt in the past. Either way, I’m a little timid now and I’m looking for someone to coax me back into being a real fun dog!

I’m very friendly and enjoy attention: call me a people-oriented dog. I like some dogs, and might get along with yours. I don’t have a lot of experience with training yet, but maybe you could teach me.

The biggest issue is that I am still a little scared and afraid of new things and situations. If you take the time to properly introduce me to new people and experiences, I bet I’ll do great. Just stop by and meet me at Animal Friends.

TADI

This big, sweet gray and white fellow named Tadi is very mature and confident. His name means “Wind Child” in a Native American language.

At the age of 8, he’s ready to settle down with a nice, quiet family. But a family with children would be okay too, since he enjoys kids and loves to play with them.

Tadi lived in his last home for 1 1/2 years, but his owner developed allergies and couldn’t afford to keep him. Before that, he was a stray with no permanent home. This might explain his wariness of other cats and some of his habits. With some commitment and persistence by his family, the certainty that he is loved by his humans, and some advice from our Adoption Team, he promises he can learn household habits.
Tadi loves to sit in your lap and cuddle. Tadi’s inquisitive face seems to say, “Cuddle me, hold me in your lap and pet me.” He sometimes hums along with you if you sing a song. Tadi would love to go home with you and promises he will try to be the best cat you ever had! Meet him today At Animal Friends.

RANDI

8 year old shorthair
Randi is a beautiful, affectionate cat who is looking for a new home to call her own and someone to love her forever. Perhaps it could be you?
Although she is initially shy, she warms up to visitors with time. She gravitates to anyone who is willing to pet her and wants nothing more than to curl up on your lap or to share your bed with you at night. When Randi isn’t sharing the couch with you, she enjoys sitting by a window and watching the world outside. Given her fondness for peace and quiet, we feel that Randi will be best suited to a quiet home.
If you’re looking for a sweet and attentive cat, please meet with an adoptions counselor at Animal Friends and ask to meet Randi. She would love to be the object of your affection!
