AVON TYRES INTRODUCES ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY PROGRAM

Avon-RoadHazardWarranty

Avon Tyres announced a new road hazard warranty program offering free replacement of any new tire (excluding non-D.O.T. approved race tires) for accidental, puncture or impact damage.

Simply complete the Avon Tyres Road Hazard Warranty form with the dealer at the time of purchase, and should a tire become unserviceable as a result of qualified tire damage including punctures during the first 1mm of tread wear, a replacement will be offered at no charge.

“We believe that our tires meet the highest standards, but we understand that accidental damage can happen,” said Ken Warner, Vice President of Marketing for Avon Motorcycle Tyres North America. “If a tire is damaged soon after purchase during normal use, we’ll replace it – free.”

Certain terms and conditions apply. The warranty is valid on any new tire up to to the first 1mm of tread wear and covers normal road use only. Incorrect inflation, off-road use, racing and deliberate or malicious damage will invalidate the warranty. Valid in the U.S. and Canada. For details and to download the warranty brochure, visit here

MUSTANG GOES OLD SCHOOL FOR NEWEST SEAT

ThrowBack™ Looks Back To 1980 For 2004-Up Sportster Seats

Mustang is celebrating their 35th anniversary of comfort and innovation by bringing back a look from yesteryear — or, at least, from 1980 when Mustang was founded. The “new” ThrowBack™ style seat fits all 2004-up Sportsters. The Sportster line has been in continuous production in one form or another since 1957, which makes it the perfect platform to bring back the ThrowBack-style seat with its characteristic sissy bar and distinctive top cover with buttons.

“This seat will make you nostalgic for fifty-cent burgers and dollar-a-gallon gasoline,” says Mustang Seats Business Development Director Marilyn Simmons. “While we can’t do anything about gas prices, we can bring back the classic styling of an earlier era.” Don’t let the look fool you, though. Mustang used all their 21st Century seat-building techniques to bring this old style forward into the present. Technological updates include Mustang’s proprietary foam formula and durable steel-reinforced, marine-grade fiberglass baseplates.

“It is still what is on the inside that counts in terms of comfort, but this seat stands apart visually as well,” adds Simmons. “The 10” wide driver area and 6.5” wide passenger seat feature the handcrafted look you’ve come to expect from Mustang, finished off with an intricate diamond-stitched pattern and covered buttons.”
With a retro price tag of only $409 suggested retail, you can easily ride into the sunset and beyond on Mustang’s ThrowBack™ for 2004-up Sportster models!
In addition to the new ThrowBack™ for Sportsters, Mustang also offers replacement seats for virtually all late model Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. How would you like a free seat for your bike or trike? Mustang’s customer GIVEAWAYS program kicked-off during Bike Week in Daytona and the next winner will be announced at Laconia Bike Week. Kickin’ around in the Grace Boot by Harley-Davidson Footwear

SLP-3653How many pairs of black boots do you own?  Yea, me too, more than I need, so when I took a peek at the Grace boot in beige by Harley-Davidson Footwear, well it was easy to justify adding to my overgrown boot collection. After all, I don’t own a pair of boots this color.    I spent a few weeks testing this boot out, ya know, put through the rigors of the activities I enjoy.  Spent time walking, riding, chasing dogs, shooting firearms and just hanging out next to a bonfire. At first the boot was a little rigid, but it literally was broken in within hours and felt like I had been wearing this boot for a few months.  The fit was perfect and the comfort was spot on.  I totally dig the cushion sock lining and the grip of this boot.  When I walk, I sometimes get distracted and find myself cruising off road on a nearby trail. I’ve had my fair share of lousy footwear with no grip, usually resulting in a sprained wrist or ankle.  If I can tread downhill on gravel with a firm grip from my feet, I’m comfortable and confident.  If you are wanting a new boot for your collection, I would check this one out along with all the other awesome styles that Harley-Davidson Footwear offers.  It is available in black and brown, but come on, don’t you have enough of those sitting in your closet?
