KANE

5 year old beagle
Kane is a gentle affectionate dog who gets along well with both men and women. One look into Kane’s eyes and you can see how eagerly he wants to share his love.

Kane’s favorite volunteers describe him as calm and easy to handle. Kane loves to play and chew on his pig ears. He is calm and relaxed during baths and car rides. Kane knows how to sit and is housebroken. He would love to take a class with you at Animal Friends University, so he could learn everything else he needs to know to please his new owner(s).

Kane gets along with other dogs and cats. If you already have a four-legged friend, bring them for a meet and greet to make sure they are a good match. Kane would like his new family to take him on nice long evening strolls or an early morning walk.

Kane is a little rambunctious at times and likes to run toward children. This may frighten little ones. We recommend that Kane go to a home with children over the age of 12. If you think you are the family or person who can give a lovable guy like Kane a second lease on life, please come meet him. He is anxiously awaiting his forever home at Animal Friends today!

MABEL

14 year old Border Collie mix
Mabel, a very sweet Border Collie mix, was brought to Animal Friends after she was found wandering the streets alone and homeless.
Even though she has had some tough times, Mabel is very friendly and enjoys being around people. She likes to be petted, she sits nicely for brushing or bathing and she even enjoys a good belly rub every now and then.
Don’t let her age fool you! Mabel loves to take walks, play with squeak toys or go for car rides. She walks very nicely on leash and will sit quietly in the car as she watches the world go by. And if that weren’t enough, Mabel gets along well with other dogs too.

Mabel is currently in a foster home. Her foster mom says that Mabel is very well behaved, is housebroken and is a pleasure to share a home with.
Even though Mabel is no longer homeless and loves being in her foster home, she’s still looking for a home to call her very own. Won’t you be the one to give Mabel the forever home she so deserves?

If you are interested in meeting her, please call  Animal Friends at 412.847.7002 ext. 1 so that an Adoption Counselor can contact the foster family to arrange for you and Mabel to meet.
