PEANUT

Hello! I’m Peanut, and I look familiar, it’s because you might have seen me on TV! I’m one the stars of an Animal Friends TV commercial, and I’ve even been on the local morning shows! They picked me because I’m special. I mean, I listen to commands and know how to behave in new situations. I bet you never thought you’d meet a true Animal Friends celebrity!

I’ve heard about how humans have these “Big Brother/Big Sister” programs where older people help mentor younger kids. Well I’m looking for the canine equivalent of that! I’m a big, rambunctious fellow who is looking for a home with an older dog who can mentor me and correct me when necessary. I’m eager to learn!

I’m a young dog, basically just a teenager, and I can get bored sometimes when no one’s playing with me. That’s why I’d love a home with a big fenced yard for me to run around in (with my new pal and mentor, of course). I love playing with all kinds of dogs and people! (But I am really strong so I’d do better with adults and bigger kids.)

My current foster family knows that I’m loyal and very, very lovable. They also called me an “escape artist” – I’m just so curious and hate to be left alone! I’m working on being crate-trained, so maybe you can help me with that. I know several commands already and I’m good about riding in the car, so you can take me anywhere. And unlike most teenagers, I’m willing to adapt and change. I take corrections very well and I’m excited to find my place in a new family…maybe yours!

WEBSTER

Hello! If you’re wondering about my breed, the Beagle, I am a curious, loving breed. If you’re looking for a friendly lap dog, I’m your perfect match! I love lots of attention, and I’ll let you pet me and cuddle as long as you like! I’m not used to playing a lot, but hopefully it’s something you can help me learn to enjoy!

I am looking for a home without small children, but I am happy to live with kids over age 9. I am very gentle and affectionate towards older children. I also prefer to be the only dog in the house. A fenced yard would be perfect for me. I need an experienced owner who is willing to do some training with me, although I am mostly housebroken.

So, if you’re looking for lap dog, I’m your match! I would love to get to know you better! Please visit Animal Friends to inquire about me!

SONDRA

At first glance, I may look exactly like the little dog that you have been waiting to find. Take a closer look, and you will discover that I am a survivor of the commercial dog breeding industry. Experiencing a new world that is full of sights, sounds, and sensations can be overwhelming for me. Are you the one that can help me through my journey?

I am looking for an extraordinary home. You are the family I am looking for if you:
1) have a quiet adult home with a social dog that can bond with me and help me learn
2) have great patience especially with housetraining and understand that I will need my own “safe haven” (a crate)
3) understand I may never learn to play and accept that I may never become a lap dog
4) are aware that I may have ongoing medical needs

Animal Friends does not want to discourage individuals from offering their hearts and homes to a former commercial breeding facility dog in need. We simply want to educate prospective adopters of the potential challenges. Often the commitment of time, patience, training, and health care needs exceed the expectations of the average pet owner.

If you choose to adopt one of these special dogs, you will watch them learn about living in a real home with a loving family. Contact Animal Friends for more info.

PRECIOUS

After a rough adjustment, Precious has quickly become one of our favorites here at Animal Friends. This sweet little cat will come up to you and show her affection by rubbing against you and giving you long deep purrs. She is great with using both the scratching post and litterbox and loves to spend her days watching everything going on outside the window. She even gets along with the family dog! All it takes is a little bit of love. Please visit Animal Friends to learn more about taking her home!

Please take me home?

How do you do! I’m Vanessa, one of the ladies here at Animal Friends. I always take treats gently, respond to scratches and cuddles, and I never bark (unless it’s an emergency). It’s just so rude! I’m still a little panicky when it comes to going into my crate or traveling in the car. But I’ve been getting better and I’d love to continue my training with a loving and very patient person. I think I deserve a little happiness…maybe you can help me find it. Please visit Animal Friends to learn more about me.

Super Cuddle Bug Chloe would love to snuggle with you

This precious little tortie named Chloe is a cat who loves to be loved. She is a sweet and gentle kitty who likes attention and will gladly let any cat-loving person pet her. And once Chloe realizes that you want to be her friend, she’ll be more than happy to hop onto your lap to spend some quality time with you. Because Chloe is so docile and settled, she would make an excellent companion for a senior citizen who might have some extra time to share with a sweet homeless cat. Please Visit Animal Friends to inquire about Chloe.

MISTY wants someone to love

Misty is playful and athletic like most collies are. She enjoys interacting with toys, playing fetch, and could be a potential playmate for another dog in your household. She enjoys affection and doesn’t mind being handled. Being a pure collie, Misty needs regular exercise and would not benefit from staying inside all day. If you want a medium sized dog with a tempered personality and athletic streak, Misty is the one for you! If your interested please visit Animal Friends to inquire about Misty….

Cauliflower is “Hopping” to find a new home!

I’ve been told it’s not nice to brag, but I can’t help it – just look at my beautiful white coat! I’m still learning how to get along with other rabbits, so I don’t warm up to other bunnies right away. And as much as I like you humans, I’m still a little nervous around new people. But I love exploring my surroundings and I firmly believe that everything I see is mine! Maybe you could be mine as well? To inquire about me, please visit Animal Friends
