JINJU

Jinju is a sweet, yet sometimes shy gray and white female who needs a quiet and patient home. This petite lady likes other cats, but is still often weary of people. Jinju observes her surroundings quietly and carefully, often hiding from potential encounters with new people. But, in time with a little patience, Jinju makes a kindly affectionate companion.
Jinju is spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped. If you have the time and persistence to give a sweet, deserving cat a chance, come to Animal Friends to meet Jinju.

YORK

Well, hello there! My name is York and I am a 15 year old Dauschund/Beagle mix. Even though I am an older gentleman, don’t let my age fool you! I am still very spry for my age and I love to go on walks! I also love to just lay in the sunshine and relax.

I have spent some time in a foster home and my foster family had nothing but great things to say about me! One thing that they said was that I am housebroken! I also get along great with dogs and cats. They have a really comfortable couch and I just love to curl up on it to sleep. I am a little shy, but they say that I am a very sweet dog.

Due to my age, and the fact that I am not very playful, I think a home with older children would be best. I would hate to disappoint a child who wanted to play ball! And remember, I like cats and dogs, so I could probably get along with yours as well!

If you are interested in meeting me, please call Animal Friends. An adoption counselor can tell you more about me and schedule a meeting. I look forward to meeting you!

Bebe

Hi! My name is Bebe. I am a sweet, mellow and happy gal — your typical Beagle! I’m 6 years old and I love the outdoors and people too.

I have found myself back here at Animal Friends because my family had to move into an apartment which doesn’t allow dogs. This makes me sad, as I am a family-kind-of-gal.

I see the other dogs playing here but, I think all that romping around is a bit over-rated. For me, the perfect day consists of spending time outdoors where I can sniff, run around a little, sniff some more and then come inside where I will probably take a nice long nap. Oh yea, I also like to take walks on the leash!

I haven’t been taught any commands or tricks, but I think it would be great to take some of the classes here with my new lifetime companion. I enjoy learning and I’m eager to please, so let’s give it a try! I hear it’s a great experience.
I recently went to a fundraiser for Animal Friends that took place at a bar. I did great! I loved meeting all the people and getting petted. I never met anyone I didn’t like.

If you have the forever home I dream of, please arrange to meet me…I will be waiting! Call Animal Friends today!

LITTLE LOVEY

8 month old tabby domestic shorthair
Little Lovey is a short-haired brown tabby who was brought to Animal Friends as a stray with his brother Thomas. Brothers and condo-mates, Little Lovey and Thomas would like to be adopted into a forever home, together. Little Lovey is shy, yet interested, watching passers-by attentively. Although he is shy at first, eventually Little Lovey becomes familiar with his surroundings and admirers and is a friendly, lovable, and affectionate lap-cat. The best way into Little Lovey’s heart is to play. His favorite toys are feather teasers and mice.

Little Lovey is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and micro-chipped. Come to Animal Friends to meet Little Lovey and his brother Thomas.

TIDBIT

2 year, four month old domestic shorthair
Hi! I’m Tidbit! I was homeless and am grateful for the kind person who found me and brought me and my kittens to Animal Friends. I was so happy my babies went to good homes – now it’s my turn.

I am playful, alert, tidy, and a good girl. I love cats! Maybe you have one or two cats who need a sweet companion. I am very loving, kind, gentle and patient with other cats.

Now people on the other hand – it’s a different story. I grew up on the streets and I never knew what it was like to be held or even touched. As much as I enjoy being around people, I am very afraid to be touched.

If you are looking for a low-maintenance cat who will be your current kitty’s best friend – and hopefully yours – then let’s start our new life together. Come meet me at Animal Friends!

GYPSIE

10 year old calico shorthair
According to her previous owner, Gypsie is friendly and playful, especially with string, towards everyone she meets. Here, at Animal Friends, Gypsie is a little scared and shy. Quietly and calmly, Gypsie spends most of her time laying in her Condo, waiting for a home in which she can relax and flourish into the loving and affectionate cat she wants to be. When alone with volunteers and staff, Gypsie is an attentive lap-sitter who likes to be petted and held. But in her condo, Gypsie can seem shy and timid.

Gypsie is up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped, and spayed. If you can offer Gypsie the loving home she is waiting for, come to Animal Friends.

ALEX

1 year old domestic shorthair
Alex is a short-haired brown tabby who is friendly, yet shy, particularly around loud noises. This affectionate guy’s pregnant mother was dropped off at a vet’s office. After she delivered, all of his siblings were taken home, leaving poor Alex behind. His previous care-giver speculates that no one chose him because of a skin condition where he is left with patches of missing fur. To us here at Animal Friends, though, his strange appearance only adds to his charm.

Alex loves attention and other cats. He especially likes to be held and petted. Alex’s care-giver also said he was having trouble using his litter box. He’s doing just fine with his litter here, so we’d be glad to share tips to make sure Alex succeeds at your house, too! Alex is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and micro-chipped. Come to Animal Friends to meet the charming, sweet, and affectionate Alex.

MARION

11 month old Jersey Wooly
Have you ever seen a more handsome rabbit than me? I bet you haven’t! Besides being handsome, I am also calm and a bit shy. I like to be held, but I will come to you when I want attention.

I also like to be groomed and it’s a good thing, because I have a lot of fur! I’ll need to be brushed every day to keep my fur looking nice and neat, but you’ll like grooming me as much as I like being groomed, I promise!

I really like exploring my environment and I hope that you’ll let me investigate my new home thoroughly. My foster mom said that I am almost litter box trained and with a little bit of patience, I’m sure that I’ll have it down pat in no time.

If you’re looking for a handsome and affectionate rabbit, I’m sure you can’t do any better than me. I hope that you have the forever home I’ve been waiting for! Won’t you stop by Animal Friends and meet me today?

MOLLY

9 year old Doberman mix
Doberman Pinscher: faithful companion; affectionate, attentive, intelligent, obedient, and loyal friend. This is often how this dog breed is described, and Molly is no exception. Beautiful Molly watches the world go by with her wise, knowing eyes. She has experienced much, and not all of it good, in her lifetime. Yet, she asks for little. She loves to go for long walks, but is equally happy to sit by her person’s side for long periods of time, gazing up at him or her, wondering if this could be her forever person. Molly is very treat motivated and already knows commands like sit and give paw. She will make a wonderful friend for some fortunate person or persons. Attentive, affectionate, loyal Molly. Come meet her today at Animal Friends in Pittsburgh!

FLOPSY

4 month old pit bull terrier mix
Dear World……………………..Flopsy here!!!

Boy do I have a story to tell about “ME” : So, how about the ears? Besides being the ultimate in cuteness, I am a 4 month old American Pitbull Terrier looking to find my forever home. Recently I moved in with my foster family and they have two big dogs that are helping to “show me the ropes”. I think it’s something called manners and really seems like I am catching on since my foster mom has been saying “good girl” a lot! She was telling someone that I have a lot more training to go but how lucky someone was going to be to find me.

I think I would love to live in a home with siblings that could give me lots of exercise. Since I am still just a puppy I do need to be supervised around all children. Playing with other furry (canine) siblings would be possible if they don’t mind my energy. If you think I could share and snuggle with you, please call or stop in at Animal Friends to see if we can spend forever together.
